Köln and Hoffenheim played out a goalless draw in their Bundesliga clash on Sunday evening at the Veltins-Arena.
The game was a tight affair with both sides creating opportunities to break the deadlock but neither could find the back of the net.
Hoffenheim were the first to create the best chance of the match when they went close through Maximilian Arnold in the 44th minute. However, Köln goalkeeper Rene Adler was able to palm the ball away from goal.
In the second half, Köln had the better of the play but couldn't find a way past Hoffenheim's strong defence.
The game ended in a stalemate as both teams failed to find the back of the net. Köln will be disappointed not to have taken all three points as they looked like they would have done so if it wasn't for some good saves from Hoffenheim's goalkeeper.
Hoffenheim will also be disappointed not to have grabbed all three points as they created plenty of chances but couldn't convert them into goals.
Both teams will now look to bounce back in their next fixtures, with Köln hosting Union Berlin on Wednesday night while Hoffenheim travel to Eintracht Frankfurt.
